Currently I am using woocommerce for my pre-order food delivery site. I am using Woo delivery plugin for my needs current but I am looking to expand some features and need the following capabilities:

– allocate stock to particular days of the calendar
– allocate stock to times of the day (lunch time and dinner time)
– allow customers to select the date they want to order for on the MENU page and it would automatically show the stock remaining for that day and particular session.
– once the customer places the order, the stock would be reduced and updated accordingly
– add processing time to each order. So there’s a lead time for each order.

I am wondering if anyone knows of any other plugins/extensions that can do the above Please let me know if it’s possible. Any advice is much appreciated.

You can get most things out of WooCommerce Bookings. The one thing it can’t do is this:

allow customers to select the date they want to order for on the MENU page and it would automatically show the stock remaining for that day and particular session.

For that, I would recommend getting in touch with a developer to set up something custom for you: https://woocommerce.com/customizations

would woocommerce bookings work with variable products? Most of my menu items are variable products. it seems I’d need to create a bookable product type altogether ?

Hi!

Yes, with WooCommerce Bookings you would not be able to create a variable product. This documentation explains some of the product options that are available with a Bookable product.

I wonder whether Order Delivery or Iconic Delivery Slots for WooCommerce would suit your needs better? Do feel free to take a look at them and even try them out – we have a 30 day refund policy so you can test the functionality if you’d like to!
