Hello, my name is Mark, I am studying social survey data in volunteer organizations.
Right now I’m looking into your plugin to buy, but at the same time I’m looking into your competitors, including WP data table.
In general, plugins have + – the same functionality, and I don’t understand whether it’s worth paying extra.

My most important question is: on your site it is indicated that there are such fields that can be edited on the front of the site. I tried to find but couldn’t. Or is this option only available in pro?
I was also not entirely clear how to use the conditional formatting function. I have set up one condition, but how can I add more? Or how to edit an existing one?

I would be grateful for a detailed answer, or at least a link to the relevant documentation article.

    Hello @reygeogroom

Thank you for your interest in our plugin, Now we will answer all your questions:

    1. With the Pub docs Data Tables and Charts plugin, you can create and customize fully editable data tables. Your external users can view, edit, delete data, upload files, and save those changes to the spreadsheet. For example, own orders or inquiries, own items added to stock, etc.

This is a standard plugin option, and is available even in the free version of the plugin.

You can enable the “edit at the front” option for both columns and single or multiple cells.

    – Editable Column. Go to column settings->Advanced-> and check the Editable checkbox. Now column cells can be edited on the front.

    – Editable cell, or a range of cells. To do this, enable the Extended builder, select the required cells and enable the Add editablefield option. Cells can now be edited on the front end.

Now you can go to options->frontend fields and customize these fields in more detail. Check out this article to learn more about it https://pubydoc.com/documentation/frontend-fieldcatalog

    2. Conditional rules. In the PubyDoc DataTable and Charts plugin, you can specify conditional formatting for both the entire table and individual columns/rows/cells. It doesn’t matter if you apply conditional formatting to a column or to the entire table, in any case, the setting has the same principle of operation and will not cause you any difficulties.
Check out this article for all the details on setting up conditional formatting. https://pubydoc.com/documentation/conditional-rules/

In any case, you can purchase the plugin, check all its options, and if for some reason you do not like the functionality of the plugin, we will refund your money.

    Hello @pubydoc
Thanks for your detailed answer. On the first question, everything is clear to me – everything turned out to be set up.
But on the second question with conditional formatting, everything does not work as you show in the documentation. Yes, I can enter conditions, but if I make a mistake in filling in and want to edit the condition, nothing happens when I click on the condition. Editing is not possible.

If you are unable to remove the conditional formatting condition in this way, as shown in the screenshot https://icecream.me/a7ad5ee0b5087c7362ecebd01532aec9 , then most likely you have encountered a bug. Contact us via the form https://pubydoc.com/contact/ and our specialists will help to solve this problem.
