    Hi! I have a client with a WooCommerce store. They did not keep their version of WooCommerce updated. When I go in to update from 2.3.8 to 2.3.10, their Order database disappears.

    I need to export their products, sales & customer data before updating WooCommerce. After updating WooCommerce, I need to be able to import the data. Will this be possible with the pro version of your plugin?

  • Hi Jennifer, just to clarify when you up their WooCommerce store from 2.3.8 to 2.3.10 their Orders are not visible under WooCommerce > Orders? What if you update to 2.3.9 then 2.3.10, or do smaller jumps from their original WooCommerce version to the latest release?

    With our exporter you can get most of that data out but importing is limited to Products/Categories/Tags/Images that are assigned to Products. We are working on a replacement for our importer that caters for all export types so they can be imported as easily as they can be exported but this will take time.

    I recommend backing up the WooCommerce store (database and files) and creating a staging sub-domain with the same store data, then running minor WooCommerce updates until it’s up to date. After checking that WooCommerce is running correctly and Orders are intact then repeat that process on the live site.
