    Hello,

I’m getting interested to Imagify because I’m really tired about images rescaled and compressed badly by WordPress. For example if I upload a 50 KB image in 1200×1200 pixels, WordPress often creates something like a 80 KB with 1024×1024 pixels.

I usually works with Photoshop (“save for web” option and holding color profile) with results more more interesting. So from a plugin like your, specialized in images compressions I expect something like Adobe “Save for Web” result.

Before proceed with a test, I’d like to ask you more about this:

    1) Does Imagify re-create all thumbnails starting from the original one? Or compress the existent thumbnails?

    2) Is it possible to hold on the color profile? As photographer I hate the colors variations.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi @griotta

Thanks for contacting us with these questions.

We have noticed similar things where thumbnails happen to be larger than original image. Unfortunately, this is something that happens from time to time (even with Imagify).

    > 1) Does Imagify re-create all thumbnails starting from the original one? Or compress the existent thumbnails?

No, Imagify will compress thumbnails created by WP, so in this specific case, we would take 80kB thumbnail for optimization.

    > 2) Is it possible to hold on the color profile? As photographer I hate the colors variations.

As long as it is part of EXIF data, it can be controlled. You can keep the EXIF data option and this will stay within optimized images.

Hope this helps. ?Let me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help.

    Best Regards
    Marko

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately it is not what I’m searching for.

I hope that you will can introduce something like that in the next future. To be more clear, I need something that resamples all thumbnails with a more efficiently algorithm than WordPress use now.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hey @griotta

We will do our best to improve the process as much as possible. We definitely know about some ways for improvement, and (unfortunately) some of them are more difficult to achieve.

Anyway, whenever we find a room for improvement, we will work on it.

    Best Regards
    Marko
