    Dear The Events Calendar folks,

We are an Avada theme user, and currently use Time.ly’s AIOEvents calendar plugin. We are looking to upgrade/change to TEC (integrated in Avada), and are looking at the Pro version with add-ons. A key element is whether TEC Aggregator can help us import events from another site. It is not in traditional iCal format, however.

This is what the feed will look like (sample feed only; our instance (at wccls.org) will not be set up for a month or so.)
    Sample feed: https://vpl.bibliocommons.com/events/rss/all

We are aware that this is not iCal; the vendor does not provide support for iCal, only RSS/XML. albeit one that plays well with calendars (in the right order) and has good custom fields for event description. We are not sure what custom programming is necessary to convert it to a format that The Events Calendar Events Aggregator tool could ingest. Do you think this feed could be converted to an iCal that would work in TEC with sufficient expertise? Have any support tickets or Knowledge Base content to share? Ideas are welcome. We’d love to use TEC, but without having a viable aggregator for this feed, it’s not worth our time to switch.

I have searched and searched in WordPress fora for plugins and threads about translation to valid iCal of this kind of content, with no success. I have friends that use Drupal which is happier with RSS/XML and has tools available, but WP seems to be strangely bereft.

Thanks for any thoughts you can share about our dilemma with this RSS/XML import issue.
