Pre Sales question

    Hi, I am testing a free theme and have a couple of questions. I’ve been using a themify developer system for my other sites and it works well, but the framework updates are so often that I am concerned about the issue of overwriting the CSS of my customizations on these updates. My questions are how often do you update your framework and what do these updates do to the child themes? I’m testing Freelancer right now. I can’t afford to have to redo all my customizations after every update.

    What kind of changes are you making? CSS only or PHP and page templates as well?

    CSS only in the theme… but sometimes we will add web fonts (google link) in the header, e.g.

    Hey @edge22 I know you’re just being helpful, but can you please direct user’s to your site for any pre-sales questions? This is what’s usually posted for pre-sales or any commercial topics.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site.

    As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

    It’s fine that themes have an upsell to pro versions, but please take those conversations to your site.

    For adding CSS when using a child theme, I suggest using our Simple CSS plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-css/

    There are some Google Font options with the premium theme – shoot me an email at [email protected] and I can explain further there ??

    @jan, I typically would/have pointed premium related questions to my forum/email, but felt that this question related to the free theme more than anything. The only premium thing about it is the title.

    Will do my part in keeping this forum focused on the free theme ??
