    Hi Guys,

I’d love to try this plugin and have a question first, if I may.

Following WordPress’ recommendations for hardening WordPress I have made a number of changes to my installation, and would just like to know if any of them might potentially cause an issue when BPS. I just want to make sure that when it is activated and starts doing the wonderful things it does, it doesn’t find something unexpected and bricks, or it just re-does something already done and doubles-up.

The main items I can think of are:

    • wp-config.php moved up a level
    • User ID #1 removed from wp_users in the Db
    • entries to .htaccess (blocks for rewrite; deny snooping for wp-config.php)

I’m guessing this will not do anything untoward to BPS, but it’s been a tough week prior to go-live and it’s just worth checking.

    Thanks Guys,

    Daniel

In BPS none of these things would be any kind of factor.

In BPS Pro if you have moved the wp-config.php file then using ini_set options would not be able to automaticaly add ini_set code to your wp-config.php file and you would have to do that manually. F-Lock would not be able to lock your wp-config.php file so you would just turn that check off in F-Lock.

User ID #1 would not matter/be a factor.

custom htaccess code would not be a factor. You would add any custom code to the BPS Pro Custom Code feature.
