I’ve read the documentation and I’m still a bit confused. Would like to know if the follow scenario can be set up with this plugin.

    1) Countries is limited to US

    2) Every product has a weight

    3) Calculate the total weight of the order

    4) If Total Weight <= 13 ounces, the buyer can select which method they want. The two choices are USPS First Class Shipping as an option (cost based on total weight) AND USPS Priority Shipping (rate is based on zone and then weight. There are 9 zones defined by the first three digits of the zip code, in ranges. Once you know the zone, you can look up the cost)

    5) If total weight >13 ounces, there’s only one option: Priority Shipping (again, determine zone based on postal code ranges, then use weight to look up cost)

    6) If order total is over $150, shipping is free

NOTE: USPS Priority Zones can contain as many as 13 zip code ranges (e.g., 430*-434* is 1 range). See https://postcalc.usps.gov/Zonecharts/

There are 9 USPS Priority zones.

USPS Priority Rates go by Zone/Weight. See https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm#2517977

Ideally, I would like to add some amount (fixed? or maybe a % of order) to the shipping cost to account for packaging/handling. But I don’t want that displayed separately at checkout. It’s just part of the total shipping that is displayed.

I’m hoping this plugin will work, so I don’t have to spend $199 on an alternative (which reads like it does this, but I still can’t tell).

    Thanks in advance!
    Joe

Are you sure you are at the right plugin page? I am asking this b/c you mentioned “pre sales” while plugin is free and “documentation” while plugin has no documentation.

Getting back to your setup I’d say it’s almost possible. However, there are things which are not supported by the plugin yet like zip code destinations.

    Hi Dan!

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I saw “Countries” in the screen shot and was hoping it drilled down further (since rates by country is a bit too encompassing) but couldn’t find any mention of destination scope anywhere I looked.

    By the way…
I said “pre-sales” meaning “before I made a commitment to go down the path and try to use this.”

For documentation, I tried to look at the info that’s at https://codecanyon.net/item/weight-based-shipping-for-woocommerce/10099013, the screenshots, the support log and the reviews.

I could have been more specific, for sure, but I felt that covered the general concepts.

    Hi Joe,

    I see.

Unfortunately, there is no support for zip codes now.
