Predifined Value for Date Time Field

Hi,
I have a form with 2 Date Time Fields, and was trying to provide a placeholder to each (Date of Birth and Trial Date respectively).
If i leave the “Default Value” empty, the current date is displayed as placeholder overwriting the predefined value.
https://imageshack.com/a/img537/7148/1lqaZ5.pngAnd if I write the text at “Default Value” so that it displays the text as placeholder instead of current date, the 2nd Date Field stops working and no dropdown calendar appears.
