Preloader does not load as first element

  • Soooo….This plugin is pretty great…..or almost, the fact is that when I open the website with an incognito window elements of the page, as the header, load first and after a split second appears the preloader, which look elegant and professional, but that split second in which you can spot wild page elemnts appearing on the screen really kill the good vide of preloader…..is there anything I can do about?

    Hi tecscien,
    I didn’t see your message and I am really sorry for the delay.
    The issue is the cache, I think. The site shows a flash of unstyled content before the preloader. Try to turn the caching off to see what happens and let me know.

    Hi Massimo, Thank you very much for your answer, i Have turned off the cache and opened the website in three different browser in privet/incognito windows and the issue was gone in all of 3 browser. Nonetheless I would prefer to keep the cache on, is there any solution?

    Hi tecscien,
    You can try to exclude the preloader CSS file from cache. If you are using WP Rocket you can refer to their docs page.
    Just add this line:
    $excluded_files[] = ‘/wp-content/plugins/preloader-plus/assets/css/preloader-plus.min.css’;
    Let me know if this works.

    I have downloaded the plugin helper,
    edited it by pasting the string you suggested and still the problem persist.
    Any idea?

    Hi tecscien,
    you still have that issue because the CSS is still in the cache. I found this page that could be helpful. Otherwise you need to ask to WP Rocket for support.
