    Update:
After I removed the image from optimization using ShortPixel, the problem has been gone. So looks like HFCM is not compatible with ShortPixel

hi @smfahim – I do not believe this has to do with HFCM because it’s agnostic to URLs meaning HFCM accepts whatever URL is given. It’s not what executes the preload function you’re using.

Few things to look into are browser compatibility and whether the preload may be working but not executing immediately which is expected.

FWIW, we use ShortPixel on a few sites too. Though, we’re not trying to use HFCM to preload any images like you are.

    Hope that helps.

As you can see, when the image is optimized through ShortPixel and I’m preloading the LCP image for the jpg version, it’s loading the webp version. And the audit is through GTMetrix Chrome Desktop. So no browser compatibility issue. Any clue about how I can preload it even when the image is optimized? Anything wrong with the script I’m using?

Unfortunately we do not have any valuable advice to give because we have not tried to perform such an unusual execution of preload. We’d have to dig into the script to see what it’s doing but that is far outside the scope of this plugin’s free support.

    Thank you.
