    Hi there,

I am using the Polyland plugin to translate my website from Portuguese to English. In order to translate the website, it duplicates each post, page, category and tags so there are two (one for each language). I am using the premium blog element from Premium Addons for Elementor in order to show my posts where users can filter through all my tags. However, even though it works in my main version (portuguese), it does not show the filters in the translated version. I don’t know if it is related or not but the translated categories and tags do not appear in my query options in the premium blog.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks.

    Hi @atickettotakeoff

    Hope you’re having a great day ??

The team is currently trying to reproduce the issue on their end. So, it would be great if you could let us know if this issue happens only you filter posts by tags or categories?

    Regards

    Hi again,

Actually the problem is that when creating new categories or tags they do not appear in the filter options. I thought that it was related with the translated categories/tags, but I tried creating a new category and tag in my main language but they still do not appear.

Hope this helps you sort out the problem.

    Thanks.

    Hi @atickettotakeoff

    Hope you’re having a great day ??

I’m so sorry, but I’m not sure if I totally got this as I can see you mentioned before that “However, even though it works in my main version (portuguese)

We would be more than glad to check widgets settings further from your end, so could you please just send us a message on our website?

    Hi again,

So basically, I came to the conclusion that this might have nothing to do with Polylang. In fact, every category or tag that I create does not show up in my query options and, therefore is not visible in the filters I want to show on my website. The only categories or tags that appear are the ones that I’ve created a long time ago.

Could this be related with the latest update from Premium Addons?

    Thanks.

    Hi @atickettotakeoff

Hope everything is going fine with you today ??

I’m not sure what can cause such thing, but I believe that Premium Blog widget sync all categories/tags you create without any caching.

WE would be glad to help, but could you please send us a message on our website so our devs team can check this for you?

    Regards

Great, I can see the team is currently following up with you ??

    Have a great day!

hey @atickettotakeoff and @leap13 would you be so kind to share with us the solution?

i’m havng the same problem, the site uses Polylang, i’ve got Premium Blog set to Query a category in main language, i create the translation in second language and Premium Blog cannot set its Query to the translated category, because the category listed is still the one in main language.

i had to register to your site and browse the community forums, but there’s only 2 posts regarding Polylang and access is prevented because a license is needed.

if it’s not too much of a secret thing, it’d be great if you could share the solution up here for the rest of us.

    thanks

Hi there @maxgx , unfortunately we found no solution and everything stays the same :/

Sorry I couldn’t help you more than this.

ouch! i was hoping it was something relatively trivial… probably that’s why i haven’t yet received a tip for my problem

anyhow, thanks a lot @atickettotakeoff for letting me know!

    Hi @atickettotakeoff

Hope everything is going fine with you today ??

Well, I’ve checked your conversation with our support team and I can see that already informed you that the same issue happens with blog widgets from other 3rd party Elementor plugins. So, we believe the issue happens due to a conflict with Polylang itself.

So, may I ask if you managed to contact their support team?

    Hi again,

I never spoke with PolyLang unfortunately and changed the widget I use so people can filter my posts.

    Thanks.

hi @atickettotakeoff, which filtering widget have you selected?

i too didn’t succeed in finding a solution for Premium Addons

    Hi there @maxgx ,

Sorry for the late response but I was very busy the past few weeks.

I am using Post Tab by the Happy Addons pluggin. I don’t find it as good as the other plugin but it works.

    Hope it helps!
