Are you guys serious? The most BASIC feature of being able to sort pages / posts by VIEW count now appears to be a PREMIUM feature? Clicking “sort by VIEWS” leads to a blank page and anyway that I could actually get VIEWS to show up, even when scattered, it just says “PRO” and then when you hover it says “click to upgrade” or unlock… I feel like such a grumpy old man getting aggravated by this sudden shift in the digital space with EVERYTHING!!! being subscription based, and im only in my freaking 20’s. Uninstalled and finding another plugin which allows SORTING BY VIEW COUNT, the only reason we ever downloaded this plugin in the first place.

    Hi JBOT,

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you had a frustrating experience with our plugin.

I want to clarify that the ability to sort pages and posts by view count is indeed available in our free version. To access this feature, you can go to the Overview Page -> Most Visited Page. For a more detailed view, simply click on “View Most Visited Pages.” I understand that this might not be the most intuitive process right now, which is why we’re making significant improvements.

We’re aware that the current UX isn’t ideal, and we’re addressing this in our next release (version 14.10), scheduled for release next week. This update will include a more intuitive layout, moved to a more accessible location in the main menu, making it easier to use.

I also want to acknowledge your frustration with the growing trend toward subscription-based models. However, we strive to keep essential features like this accessible in our free version while offering advanced functionalities in our premium version.

Regarding your 1-star review, I’d like to mention that such ratings can significantly impact our plugin’s visibility and reputation. We would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider your rating after we address the issue you encountered. If you’re open to it, we’d love to work with you to resolve any remaining concerns.

P.S. I’m Navid, the Product Manager of WP Statistics, and I’m committed to ensuring your experience improves. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further feedback or if there’s anything else we can assist with.

    Best regards,

    Navid

I will say, I can genuinely appreciate you taking the time to come to the table and atleast address someone as frustrated as me. I will attempt this workaround for now as you mention. How can i revise my rating also just out of curiosity, doesnt look like I can? I do however struggle to understand why in recent updates the design decision would have been made, to remove the ability to sort by views when looking at products under the main woocommerce > products tab in the backend. This seems like its main use-case, no? To be able to look at ALL the products within an online store and quickly see which ones are getting the most traction and pay extra attention to those products, fine-tune and optimise those pages accordingly. Not being able to do this is incredibly difficult with larger stores that need this sort of attention. Often times they want to focus their time and money on the products that are actually getting traction and they want to amplify those stronger products, while attending to the weaker ones with a different strategy. Looking forwards to your reply, its refreshing to see a tech company of any kind / level at this stage, genuinely care about real world use cases and how their product is performing for users.

    Hi JBOT,

Thank you for your response and for being open to trying the workaround.

If I understand correctly, you’re referring to the ability to see and sort by the view number of each product directly in the product list within WooCommerce (WooCommerce > Products > All Products). If that’s the case, I want to reassure you that this functionality hasn’t been removed. You should still be able to see the view count for each product and sort them accordingly. If you’re not seeing the “Views” column, it might just be hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on “Screen Options” in the top right corner of the “All Products” page and making sure the “Views” option is checked.

If I’ve misunderstood and you’re referring to something else, could you please provide more details? We want to ensure that all of your needs are met, and we’re here to help resolve any issues you’re experiencing.

To revise your rating, you can click on the “Edit your review” link on this page. This should allow you to make any changes you’d like.
