• Hi, Angelo!
I’ve created a new premium feed and a new user with the Premium Subscriber role.
When I try to access the feed using that user credentials – I can’t. The Login window keeps popping up as if something is wrong with the username/password (although I double checked them).

    My feed is – https://www.ranlevi.com/feed/mh_premium/
I’m logging in using Chrome, latest version.

    Any ideas?

If the podcast feed is having performance issues, it may be caused by the number of items in the feed being very large.

    Here are some options…

Go to PowerPress Settings > Feeds tab and make sure the following are checked (or values tweaked):

[x] Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds

    [x] Accelerate feed

Show the most recent (set to a value close to or equal to 10, 300 is the maximum)

    [x] Feed Episode Maximizer

The biggest thing is not allowing other plugins to modify the podcast feeds and also accelerating them. The acceleration essentially eliminates a lot of the extra database queries that happen in WordPress normally. These extra queries per item is why the relationship between speed of the feed and the items per feed setting is linear. From our testing the acceleration option we added eliminated a lot of extra queries including inherently slow category database queries.

Thanks, Angelo! I ticked the said boxes and set the number of episodes to 96. I do think the feeds load much faster now.
Authentication is still not working on the premium feed, though :-/
