• Last week I purchased the Theme Performance Optimization & Plugin Configuration premium service. I paid for the service in full via paypal and when I went to submit the support ticket via W3TC the request failed. I can’t seem to get a hold of anyone to help me. How can I connect with someone to get the service already paid for?

  • I would dispute the payment if you can. It does not appear that he is responding.

Hum, I was thinking of purchasing premium service, until I read this. I’ll hold off until I see what happens.

Giving the developer benefit of the doubt, maybe he is on vacation (holiday), since it is that time of year.

I still have not heard anything. I’ll post back here with an update once I have something to report.

I’ve had several very similar experiences with W3 Edge the last several months. No emails, Tweets, contact form entries, etc. Every attempt to contact W3 Edge or Frederick Townes (the developer) have all gone unanswered.

I’m having the same issue. I think this plugin ought to be marked as unsupported, demoted, etc.

@vwondra – thanks for the comment. I tried again today to connect with someone but I am not having any luck. I guess now I’ll go dispute the money I paid to W3 Edge with PayPal.

I never got any response either after 4 or 5 weeks. I disputed the charge as well. This plugin should be marked to indicate that the author no longer supports it. Who has suggestions for a better caching plugin?

That’s a little complicated as the free version is supported, insofar as it has a new release every 6 months or so. The issue seems to be with the premium services that are promoted within the free plugin version, which users such as yourself pay for and never receive.

If you are looking to switch, here is an excellent blog post that benchmarks 20 of the most popular caching plugins.

I disputed my charge with PayPal and managed to get it refunded.
