    Hi Tobias

I have TablePress 2.1.8 and have just installed the premium version. When doing so, a msg was displayed to deactivate the following extensions:
    Buttons, Responsive, Row filtering.
Presumably, I should now delete them.
Will I see any difference at the front-end?
What about other extensions which I am using:
    Automatic URL 1.3
    ColumnFilterWidgets 1.7
    Larger edit fields 1.0
    Pagination length change 1.2
    Row details 1.1
Do these just stay as they are?
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

thanks for upgrading TablePress, I really appreciate it!

    Indeed, in your case, the
    Buttons
    Responsive
    Row filtering
    ColumnFilterWidgets
Extensions are no longer needed, and should be deactivated. Their corresponding counterparts in TablePress Pro will then replace their functions. You should not see any immediate differences on the frontend, but will be able to benefit from their improved features and user interfaces e.g. on the “Edit” screen.

The Automatic URL Conversion and Pagination length change Extensions should be left activated, as they are still separate, and have not (yet) been integrated into the premium versions.

The Larger edit fields Extension can be removed entirely, it’s no longer needed since TablePress 2.1. Instead, the default edit field size can now be configured in the “Screen Options” tab on the “Edit” screen. So that Extension is now obsolete.

The Row details Extension will continue to work, but you could replace it with the “Collapse” feature of the Responsive Tables module in the future. That offers the same outcome, but is more robust (e.g. in combination with responsiveness). That switch would require some manual adjustments, so you could do those whenever the need arises. In the meantime, the Row details Extension will continue to work fine.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
