    This is our plan:
    We have a WordPress site (of course)
    We use a membership plugin – MemberPress
    We want to register users with MemberPress (and approve and redirect to their forum)
    We have 4 groups that need a unique forum each
    We need 2 roles for newly registered users
    — participants – users who can create posts and upload docs
    — spectators – users who can see posts and download docs
    — (we will do the moderation and admin in house)
    When users register we want to have them manually approved for 1 of the 4 forums as either participant or spectator (we are using new user approve plugin to manually approve)
    When users register we want to manually choose the role of participant for a forum user (there will be only about 10 participants who need to upload docs – but as many spectators as can join)
    The users need to be able to talk to each other in their own forum – (message, PMs, whatever)
    ————- Is all of this possible with Simplepress?

    Hi:

    Yes. Since you’re doing the permissions assignment manually, you will assign the users to their appropriate groups under FORUM->USER GROUPS.
