Presales: Shop Page Attributes for selected products only?

Presales Questions: Is it possible to activate custom attributes to show on the shop/archive pages for single products only without activating this option in the global settings? So for example only one product has their attributes shown in the shop page teaser? Or can a custom attribute only be selected if the global setting was acitivated to show a global attribute in the shop page?
