Press It Bookmarklet Doesn’t Work

  • Hi there,

    I looked through other postings on this subject and couldn’t find what I was looking for.

    When I try to use the bookmarklet with sites, such as nytimes.com, washingtonpost.com, slate.com, etc., I get an error from that site saying “Page Not Found.” (The URL is listed as sitename.com/wpadmin/post.php.) Anyone know why pressit doesn’t work for me? I’ve really been slacking off on my blog and want a quicker route to posting. ??

  • Not sure but those you mentioned you have to have an account?

    I have an account, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. Puzzling…

    Well, I couldn’t get my Press it to work and suddenly it started working. Now it doesn’t. I think it’s my process and not the coding. So could someone please walk me through the process exactly. I have read and re-read the Doc’s on it but must be doing something wrong. When I click on press it it takes me to my admin login once I click the login I’m taken to the dashboard, not the write>>write post. On the few times it did work that’s where I was taken.

    Try logging in on your site and allowing it to remember you. And turn on cookies in your browser for your own site.
