Press This under 2.7 not working

  • Is anyone else having problems with the ‘press this’ feature? It was working fine for me before the 2.7 update. It does not recognize the text I have highlighted and it does not create the link to the article. When I do this with a Youtube video, it copies the embed code but when I publish the post, the code is gone.

    Update:
    I’m using Mac OS 10.5.6 and have tried it with both latest versions of Safari and FireFox

    im using Firefox on 32 bit XP , and get 404 page everytime does not work for me

    As in 2.6, using Firefox 3.0.5, I can’t get images inserted in 2.7 either. I click on the Add icon then select the image I want. It then opens up the little pop-up window, and I add a title and click on ‘Insert Image’. Nothing happens. The image isn’t inserted. For reference, the page I’m trying to ‘Press This’ from right now is https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7816336.stm.

    Windows 32 bit XP machine being used.

    I’m using the “Press This” feature both on Firefox and Safari (both latest version). I was expecting it to work like the Tumblr’s equivalent. Unfortunatly, I’m unable to insert a photo (furthermore, this so called insertion looks like a hot-linking function, as opposed to a full upload of the photo chosen on my blog).

    “Press This” is able to correctly display the content of the page. I’m able to chose a photo and to insert it in “Press This”. But after publishing, when I visit my blog, there’s nothing on it. No photo. Only links.

    The old Quick-Post plugin seems much more efficient. Any idea?

    I get photos with press this but cannot figure out a fix to stop it from hot-linking. Unfortunately not only does it hot-link, it redundantly uploads a copy of the picture to my server, while still linking to the original photo.
