When creating a form with pagination option and page break, the form brings the user to page 1 when they press enter after filling up a text field.

Is that a bug? Logically it should bring the users forward instead..
    If anyone can help.
    Thank you!

    Hello @oddtober ,

Do you mean when you fill the last field and press the tab and then enter it goes to the previous page?
I’ve checked that and just pressing enter on the last field doesn’t return back to the first page of the form.
Maybe you could share the URL of your form so we can see that problem in action?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi @oddtober,

    Thank you sharing the link.

I tested your pagination option by using the enter button, but it would always take me to the next page up until the last page where I was able to submit. Using the keyboard to navigate through pagination is possible but keep in mind the user has to hit the tab key after entering text field info and make sure to hit the tab key twice otherwise, it will highlight the previous button and when you hit enter it will take you back to the previous page:

    Hello Jonathan,

    It didn’t work for me.
I am running Mac High Sierra and tested it on both Chrome and Safari.
You can try it on the 3rd and 4th pages, where there are text fields. Pressing enter after typing in the response bring me to the previous page instead.

    Regards,
    Damien.

    Hi @oddtober,

I tested using Mac with Mojave and using Chrome. On the 3th and 4th page, once I entered word in text field and immediately press enter, nothing will happen. Unless I hit tab key, and then press enter, then I will be sent to the previous page. But this only happens because the previous button is the first option. Since the next one is second, you will always need to hit tab two times in order to go to the next page. This is a default natural behavior as the tab will only highlight the option based on how many times you’ve pressed it until you select the right one.

If your objective is to make sure users who just use keyboard can press enter and go to the next page, this will not be possible because of how pagination works, which always provides one option to go back and one to go to the next page.

    Best,
    Jonathan S

    Thank you Jonathan.
I guess that answers the question. Just not sure why it behaves differently on my side.

    Hi @oddtober

I hope you are doing well.

I just double-checked and can confirm that BigSur OS isn’t happening either.

I’m afraid we can’t say why this is happening on the specific version but maybe a bug in the OS version itself instead of the form or any browser configuration.

We are marking the ticket as resolved, however, feel fee to ping us any time you need or re-open it if necessary.

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas
