Pretty Good, but with its share issues
-
For the most part, Contest Hopper is very easy to use, and the user dashboard for setup couldn’t be easier.
However, it’s not without problems.
My biggest problem is with the field form CSS. In the backend, the fields look fine. On the live page, the name and e-mail fields as well as the “Join” button are crushed beyond legibility.
The rules pop up doesn’t block out H1-H6 tags or other shortcodes on the screen. The transparency issue is definitely messy on the page.
In the setup pages, I had to cut and paste the url for my contest images into each box, because the app wasn’t able to successfully populate the file from my media library.
In the future, i’d love more customization options as well. Being able to collect a location or phone number are key in giveaways.
That said, it’s everything I’m looking for in a contest app. Good job, guys. Can’t wait to see 1.0!
