    Hello!

My Pretty Google Calendar won’t load on my homepage and I’m trying to figure out why. Originally it was just doing this on mobile but now it’s doing this on desktop as well. I’ve tried multiple browsers, I’ve deleted and re-installed all my plugins, I’ve cleared cache. Please help!

Also, it did load once on mobile and it wasn’t responsive to the screen size. I would also like help figuring out how to make it responsive depending on where it is being viewed. Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Looks like you may have an invalid locale string in your shortcode.

Can you share your full shortcode arguments?

You have a , where you should have a " after dayGridMonth ??

It is still not working…My shortcode is now:

    [pretty_google_calendar gcal=”[email protected]” locale=” no” views=”dayGridMonth” initial_view=”listCustom”]

I’m having the same issue. Worked great up until today. Tried deactivating and reactivating with no success. We are running several instances of PGC on various pages and none of them are working. All say, “Loading…” I’ve checked our Google Cloud Console and everything seems to be well there as well.

@ejnash There is now a space in the locale. Also be sure you are using straight quotes " and not curly quotes in your shortcode. And just to be sure, you have replaced [email protected] with your actual calendar ID correct?

@splntrdhands and @ejnash: Please make sure you have followed the trouble-shooting steps here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/events-not-showing-try-these-first/

I have tried all the steps on the trouble-shooting links that you sent. Still loading….

    [pretty_google_calendar gcal=”[email protected]” locale=”no” views=”dayGridMonth” initial_view=”listCustom”]

I’m going to be “out of office” for a week and will be back to this forum after to try again. Thank you so much for your help.

Including switching themes? If so, then the problem is most likely your Google API settings. (Also make sure to clear you cache between changes.)

Also, are you running any WordPress “Security” plugins? Apparently a very unlikely to be exploited vulnerability was flagged in PGC that might be causing some security plugins to block it.

@lbell Has anyone else reported this issue because I have followed all of the steps mentioned and deactivated any other plugins that may have interfered and still have no luck.

There have been some isolated reports of a theme causing the plugin to fail based on how they load javascript or the DOM.

@lbell yes, including themes. I also created a new API and added it to the settings page of the plugin and still have the same issue.

@splntrdhands That’s frustrating. If it doesn’t work on default theme with no plugins, then it has to be something with either how you’ve constructed the shortcode, or with the Google API settings. Check the tips here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/google-api-settings-and-things-to-check/ and let us know if you find the culprit!

@lbell the old school method of just embedding the calendar with iframe code works though. So I know my calendars themselves are still working. My other API for email still works.

@lbell what is the easiest way to clear my cache?
