1st off —?great plugin! I came here by way of Mailchip for WP…this was recommended as an add-on.

I’ve got the Mailchip signup form in the box and it works –?yay!

However, when the form is submitted, the box auto-closes.

This is OK, but since we use double opt-in, we have a message that should display prior to the box closing, which will notify the subscriber that they need to check their email to confirm.

Is there a way to either a) prevent the box from auto-closing after receiving a submission or b) delay the box closure by a few seconds?

    Many Thanks!

    Hello Brian,

If you are using free version of “MailChimp for WP”, then when a user submits the form, page is always reloaded for the submission to work. In our Paid version, we provide “AJAX” facility so the submission is done without a page reload.

Since you are adding the MC4WP shortcode inside your “Scroll Triggered Box”, when the page reloads, the box will be closed by default. If you want to open it you can try something like “https://www.yourwebsite.com/#stb-ID” as the redirect URL in your form. You simply have to change the above URL with the URL of the page containing the form as well as the one containing the pop-up and also replace “ID” with the actual ID of the pop-up.

If this is a little confusing, let me know.
