Prevent circles from greying out when not highlighted

I am also curious about how to prevent circles from greying out when not highlighted. I have a Custom CSS plugin. What should I do to keep the circles in color? Please advise.

Add this to your Custom CSS plugin or Child Theme style.css file:

.hentry.no-thumbnail {
 background: #444;
}
