Prevent Deletion of Posts

I’m maintaining a site for some new wordpress users. It’s their site so I’d like them to at least have editor rights, however I’m concerned about them having admin rights because they have messed things up.

So, this is my question, two people are editors and deleted some posts. Later they regretted deleting the posts and I was able to restore a daily backup and get said deleted posts back. I’ve been searching for a while now but haven’t found a plugin that prevents posts from being completely deleted. Does anyone know anything about just having deleted posts “soft deleted”?
