Prevent forced SSL logins
-
Hello everyone,
I searched the forum for an answer to my problem, found one person who had the same as me, but the possible solutions suggested by users did not work for me. I tried to up the topic, but nobody answered for a day so… Here.
I migrated to www.ads-software.com really recently. I was only able to see what the interface was like today, when I changed the nameservers of my website to point to Bluehost and waited several hours. But then, I couldn’t access my website anymore because now it says it’s badly configured.
In short, I get the message that Firefox is trying to establish a secure connection with HSTS but is not able to do so and thus cannot connect to the site, and to the admin panel either for that matters. I tried with Chrome, got the same issue with less details.
I was told I had to take the file “wp-config.php” and change the line “define(‘FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, true);” and turn it to “false” so that the browser won’t be forced to establish a secured connection, so I downloaded the file from my wordpress root directory but I can’t find this line in it at all. I tried to add it, save and upload, but to no avail.
I also read this documentation but wasn’t able to find a solution. I’m stuck.
Thanks in advance for your help.
