• Hi, happy new year!
Is there a way to prevent hyphenation for one word only at one place, i.e. in a title, but not in the text?
I know how to prevent it everywhere, but that is not what I want.
    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

Sure, just give it an ignored class (either directly or wrap it in <span class="noTypo">). Caveat: This prevents all processing of the word by wp-Typography, not just hyphenation. Having an extra “ignored” pattern for hyphenation might be a good thing, is something I might add in the future.

    Well, thanks pepe, that worked.
I had tried to put H1 and H2 in the Ignored HTML-Elementes field as well as adding an id ignore in the field for ignored ids. Neither worked.
What else can I do to prevent titles from hyphenation, since Gutenberg doesn’t allow me to see the main title in HTML?
Keep up the good work and keep healthy and happy!

Disabling “Hyphenate Headings” should disable this for all H1 and H2 (but potentially other things classified as “headings”).

Hi @spade, do you still need help with this issue or can we mark it as resolved?

Thanks for asking. I think that will do …
