prevent images in excerpt content

Is there a way to prevent images from the posts from loading? (an option to draw only words from the posts)
My 4 column posts had only thumbnails of featured images loading. With this plugin it starts displaying images from the posts too. (sorry cant give a link as I am testing on local server)https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/advanced-excerpt/
