Prevent line-by-line display of the coupon partial amount

  • Hello,

    We use the standard coupon module from WC.
    When applying a simple coupon amount, the total discount in the order is calculated down to the individual order items and displayed as a discount for each order item line.

    Is it possible to prevent the line-by-line calculation and to only display the applied coupon amount below the item subtotal?

    Are you referring to these numbers?

    Just to confirm, these are appearing at the backend when you edit an order.
    And you do not want them to appear.

    To help you further, I’d like to review your site’s System Status Report.
    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

    Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
    After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

    yes, I am referring exactly to these figures. Can this be switched off?

    Can the coupon calculation be set so that the coupon amount is calculated from the subtotal and not calculated down to individual order items? The totals line would be sufficient.

    Thank you for your reply.

    The elements you are referring to are part of the WooCommerce core admin screen. There is no direct way to hide or remove these individual discount values.

    You can remove them using custom CSS code and for that, you will edit the theme files and insert custom code. If you are not comfortable with the code, you can consult a professional web developer since custom code solutions are not covered by our support policy.
