    Hi,

I cloned my site with UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup and Search and Replace at the end to change the URL’s, between 2 different accounts of the same host. Everything went perfect except for a strange detail, the “preview link” at the top right of the post/page editor has disappeared.
Do you have an idea why ? Is there something I can do to bring it back ?
    Thank you for your attention.

    Hi,

Just to confirm, are you referring to the “Preview Link” button? If not, can you send me a screenshot of the “preview link” you are referring to?

I could also check and see if the migration went successfully. Can you also please send us a copy of the migration log? You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your new site location. You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )

    Hi,

Thank you for your fast answer.
Yes I am talking of the “Preview Link” button next to the publish/update button at the top right of the Gutenberg editor.
Please find below a link to the log.

    Hi,

The clone appears to have been successful without errors as shown in the log.

Can you try to temporarily deactivate all plugins or switch themes and see if you still get the same issue?

    Hi Bryle,

Thank you for your follow up.
I installed the Health Check Plugin, disabled all plugins and themes but the problem remained.

Also, I have turned the wp_debug function to “true” in my config file, created and published a test post. Then I modified it and updated the post. It did not create any wp-content/debug.log file.

Topic continues here with a solution: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/the-preview-link-at-the-top-right-of-the-post-page-editor-has-disappeared/

The issue has been identified: the browser ???♂?
Thinking out of the box seems to be the solution.

    Kind regards!
