I’ve got a new theme which is supposed to autograb an image from your posts and put them into a preview (see https://british-nationalist.org.uk )

However this is hit and miss, and the images won’t resize to the box. Does it need a plugin or some other editing?

I’ve pretty much had it with this theme, but need a template with customisable header and previews in a grid.

  • is it your problem has been cleared?

If you look at the code, the box size is 250×200. The problem is that it doesn’t resize the image, and it takes the original size of the image (as opposed to the resized image in the blog post). There is a theme that uses an image that you establish as the image you want for the index picture by marking it as “thumb” under custom fields.

I don’t know php, so I’m not sure if I could tweak the code myself. It would be interesting to have that option, though.

    Jauhari, it has not. ??

Ok, try uploading an image that is 250×200. Then under custom fields add thumb and then on the right field put the image url. It might have just been chance, but I did that and I got the right image posted. ??

Alright. It uses the last image uploaded for that respective article’s gallery. So, your last image should be the image to be used for the thumb. Then, you should be fine.

Ive have the same problem. No grabbed image at all. I like to have my images larger than 250x 200px in my posts AND a nice grabbed image in front page. I put the “thumb” under my custom fields with the image URL, and nothing.
    Please jauhari, help us.
