Preview Post results in 404 – main page logs me out.

    I’ve gone through the default theme change as well as shut off all of my plug-ins and nothing has changed it. It’s not killing me, but being that it started with going to the main page causing me to be logged out then, two days or so later preview post started sending me to the 404 page – I should probably fix it.

  • Have you tried:

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Okay, I deactivated the plugin folder from my FTP and got the same result, so it’s definitely not the plugins. I’m about to try the wp-admin and wp-includes folders

    Somehow, the problem fixed itself – Another site in the same FTP was being updated – I’m guessing that had something to do with it.

    Case Closed.
