    Joe – @joebanks10,

I think what you are looking for is something like what I have been using (ideal for me)

It allows you to create a version a page/post, enable the Public preview, make edits, then decide to update those new edits to the page/post itself or save it as a new page/post.

There is another plugin that I think works better than that above mentioned, but it doesn’t support the Public Preview. But, I’m actually stopping by today to see if I can make them compatible or pay one my devs to make it compatible. I can update you if your are interested. Let me know. But the above does work.

Thanks for sharing, Noahj. I’m always interested in more efficient ways in accomplishing a task, so I’d be interested in getting updates.

    Joe,

    Welcome!

Hey, I was digging and found an even more ideal solution. ??

This solution creates an alternate post type for your post types and adds that post type in the appropriate places. So you can get a view of all pages that are being updated to replace a different page, post, etc.

A great thing is when you finally publish the alternate version to update your original page, post, etc. it will automatically delete the version your were creating (only when you decide to replace the original). I think it is a lot more savvy and lighter and it also works with Public Post Preview ??

    Check it out @

I’ve tested it out, works great for me!

And if you want, shoot me your email and I will send you my tweaked copy.
    – I’ll post some screenshots of my changes.

Hello, no, that’s not possible right now. It’s also a bit out of scope for this plugin. I suggest to take a look at the Edit Flow plugin: https://editflow.org/
