    Hi,

I added your Quick Event Plugin on my website.
In the calendar view, the prev and next buttons are not working.
Also, if I add the months on top, when you click it, nothing happens. So you are always stuck with the view of the current month.

My website is still in maintenance mode because I need the plugin to work before I can go live.

I added the qemcalendar shortcode on multiple pages for testing, the result is always the same. I have events in multiple months.
I also totally uninstalled and re-installed the plugin and still have the same issue.

Hope you can help. If you need extra info, let me know.

    Kind regards,

    An

The next and previous buttons work happily on many sites- see demo https://fullworks.net/docs/quick-event-manager/demos-quick-event-manager/event-calendar-demo/

So your issue will likely be ‘environmental’ – such as a plugin or theme issue.

Of course it is impossible to help further without visibility of your site.

It is likely a javascript issue – WordPress gives some guidance on how to debug.

    Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply.
I tried some debugging but unfortunately could not get it to work.

No problem, I will look for another plugin.

    Thanks again for your reaction.

    Kind regards,

Of course, although if you have an issue not caused by the plugin, it may manifest it self in other ways.

If you want help with debugging using my plugin let me know.

That is very kind of you.
For the moment, I have no other issues with the site so I will leave it for now.

Hope I don’t have to need your help in the future ??

    Good luck with the launch.

I would like to bring the question up, as it appears that I have similar problem with QEM. I like this plugin very much, so I don’t want to change it for another one ??

My next and previous arrows link appear to be valid when I inspect the code, and when I copy&paste them into the browser input, the calendar reloads correctly. The example link for the next button is as follows: https://new.lfv.pl/strona-glowna-test?qemmonth=5&qemyear=2020#qem_calreload. But when I click on the arrow – nothing happens… Would you be able to have a look where the conflict is?

    Best regards!

It looks like qem is sensitive to the – in the category “wydarzenia-pl”

Can you change the category slug not to have a dash and see e.g. “wydarzeniapl”

Thank you for your rapid reply!

I changed the category slug, but still clicking the arrows has no effect ??

    OK,

Definitely a JavaScript issue. The last person this was caused by a theme setting.

Do you have a test system you can switch to to change the theme to default, see if that makes a difference?

Hey, its working – what did you do to fix it?

I’m still in the process of fixing it up ?? but the problem was caused by manual inclusion of jquery library 3.3.1 in footer.php, which I needed for Bootstrap 4. I have to find a solution now how to deconflict those…

And by the way, if I switch to next month amd go back to current one, the calendar displays all categories of events, despite the category name provided in the shortcode. Did I miss something in the configuration?

There are solutions for your issue. We (authors) are not meant to link to sites we don’t own – so google “WP ENGINE LOADING A DIFFERENT JQUERY VERSION THAN WORDPRESS NO CONFLICT”

I am really impressed by your helpful attitude and rapid response time, which is much better than mine ?? I think I managed to fix the jQuery issue now. Just one last question (I’ve added it to the post above just before your reply, so maybe it got lost on the way):

if I switch to next month and go back to current one, the calendar displays all categories of events, disregarding the category name provided in the shortcode. Did I miss something in the configuration?

Once again, thank you very much for all your support.

You probably didn’t miss something it could well be a bug.

I’ll add it to the issue list for investigation.
