• Hi,

I’m sure this has come up before, but I can’t find it (tried searching forums and Google).

I’ve had this problem a while, and hoped that upgrading (from 1.5.1.3 (previously 1.5.1.2, iirc)) to 1.5.2 would cure it, but it hasn’t.

On the Archive pages, on the first page there’s a ‘previous entries’ link, but if you follow it, that next archive page doesn’t have a ‘previous entries’ link.

    So, for example:
https://pyoor.org/wordpress/?m=200509 has a previous entries link, but
    https://pyoor.org/wordpress/?m=200509&paged=2 does not, despite
    https://pyoor.org/wordpress/?m=200509&paged=3 existing.

I’ve just left it with the default theme this time in hopes of sorting it out, before I go break it with my own theme (to make it match the rest of my site!).

I’d be really grateful for some help with this one.

  • I have the same problem with wordpress 2.0.6. It happens when I look at archives or categories if there is a large number of posts. The first page shows a “previous entries” link but once you go to that page the “previous entries” link disappears so you can’t see the full list of posts. It’s really annoying!

I have edited the timestamp on the majority of my posts – I wonder if this is causing the problem.

    Can anyone help?

Check if your template file is using the proper (updated) template tag for the desired function:
