  • Dear, I have accidentaly update without reading the “backwards compatible”. After upgrading and doing the database upgrade, my site just broke.

I have a real estate theme, and when I try to list all my properties (posts) it says it doesn’t have nothing.

My string to look for all properties is:
    index.php?s=Todos

Everything else is working, though I can’t list posts, and because of that, I can’t filter what I wanna see.
But if I go to a desired post, I just use normal string and it works:
    ?p=10217

Please help me *.* I forgot to make a backup!
Is there a way to manually revert the database backup?

Also I tried to change permalinks to another and now I revert back to default, and my pages is not showing as they normally show:
    ?p=1
Now I see in the browser:
    ?page_id=1

Thanks for all! Sorry for my english =x

A manual downgrade is shown in the second message of this thread. I have done as said, and the site works now fine.

And I will not upgrade to new a version before it has full backwards compatibility, including CAPTCHA codes. Currently I have no time playing with special fields of the newest version which is otherwise backwards compatible I presume.

I have downgraded to the previous version. This new version is not good and buggy. Developer wants to pawn it off as another plugin conflicting.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND VERSION 6.0+

Even the 6.1 version causes serious problems. After upgrading WordPress to the latest version and the Custom Contact Forms to 6.1, I received a message that asks if I just upgraded and that I should use the upgrade button to upgrade my database for compatibility reasons. I pressed the button, it ran for a while, and below is what I get, I tried it on several different sites I run, and this is a common occurrence. Downloading the older version of the plugin and restoring a backup brought all my forms back, but there must be a better way forward to support your users, we can’t all go recreating every form we’ve ever made.
