Previous version shortcodes no longer display tracking id

    I’m absolutely livid today as to a horrendous problem discovered with this plugin.

    Having noticed a considerable drop in clicks/conversions last month after the v4 upgrade, today discovered that the associate ID is not showing on older posts where the shortcode was inserted with an older version of easyazon.

    Apparently with the upgrade to V4 all my older easyazon links no longer properly add the tag for the amazon associate id in the background as a default.

    Apparently there was a change to add the tag directly into the shortcode, but there was no accounting for a default tag id if it was not included in the shortcode for previous versions.

    This is going to cost me days if not weeks of time to correct all the links in all those old posts across multiple sites. Not to mention how many lost commissions I’ve had since this was upgraded a month and a half ago.

    A quick fix for this need to be made ASAP. We are losing commissions!

    Update: Right now it looks like only links create pre 2014 were not including. So it may have to do with incompatibility in the earliest versions. when the tag wasn’t automatically included in the shortcode.
