    Hi
I’m having trouble getting the price breaks to work – it doesn’t let you upload a document unless you enter an amount per word, but then it doesn’t recognise and calculate the price in terms of the price breaks.
I’m also confused as to why the customer can change the wordcount in the basket? At present they can reduce the wordcount and therefore pay less than what it originally detects…

    Thanks for your help!

Please check the settings and you should find an option that allows the user to key in the number of words. If you don’t want to allow this you would simply disable that option, and then it would be strictly by whatever the word-count is on the upload.

I can’t see this option in the settings… could you direct me to where it is please?

And, how do you get the price breaks to work?
    Thanks!

It’s under Settings -> WooCommerce Price Per Word. It’s the first option in there.

    Hi Angelleye,

I’m just following up on this thread because I am facing similar features and would really like the price breaks feature working. I think it’s a great addition for some of us out there!

But… I’m having some trouble getting WC Price/word 1.2 working in WC 3.1.1. Not sure if these help you but:
    1. The price break price is listed in the description on the cart page, but the price is incorrectly calculated (it’s based on the initial price per word for some reason)
    2. Unless I put a price per word on the first page of the plugin setting (i.e., denote a “Regular price”), the file refuses to upload after being attached. How can I use the price break and not the “regular price” feature and still have it attach and calculate properly?
    3. The minimum product price ($) feature does not seem to work.
    4. The price per word displays on the product page – is there a way to change it (or make it not appear)?
    5. I plan to use the price break to actually make the price higher with increasing words – this does not affect the plugin?
    6. Any way to restrict PDFs/TXTs from uploading?

Sorry – but I’ve been searching and can’t seem to find enough out there on your great plugin. I can send you screenshots too if you like.

Unfortunately, the lack of popularity of this plugin has made it difficult for us to make it a priority and keep up updated nicely with WP and WC. It sounds like there could be compatibility issues going on that we need to address.

This plugin is actually something I put together as a side project for a site I’m building my wife, but that project sort of put on hold, so that’s another reason this hasn’t been a priority.

I do appreciate your feedback, and we are adding this to the GitHub repo for the plugin so that we can address it ASAP, but we do have some other plugins/projects we have to finish first. It could be a couple of months before we’re able to focus on this, unfortunately.

If you’re interested in discussing other options (like treating the work as a custom project in order to make it priority and get it done faster) you can contact us here.

Sorry I don’t have better immediate news for you.

Completely understand Angelleye. It’s a good plugin though so I’ll explore some of my options. I’ll contact you directly just to find out more.

It’s been a long time, but we’re finally getting this plugin updated! We’re working on the 1.2.1 update now and should have it ready within the next week or so. This particular has been resolved and will be included in the update!
