All price currency conversion plug ins I’ve found are specifically for use on Products in WooCommerce.

I would like to do conversion of a price for display purposes only – the user doesn’t purchase and checkout a product on my WordPress site, but they do see prices listed on a static WP page. The pricing info I receive is in USD, but customers buy in ZAR, so I would like the displayed price to be always up to date with latest exchange rates.

Recommendations and advice welcome. Thank you!

  • To answer the question, you would need to know how you currently record prices. You say it is a static WP page. So you enter them directly in the page? Maybe it would be useful to see that.

Hey @threadi Correct – the prices are added directly on the page as text.
This project is still in design phase, so I don’t have a WP Media file URL to send (image upload functionality was disabled when I tried to upload a screenshot of the design).
It would be something similar to this: https://rangerbucksafaris.com/sabi-sands/
where the pricing is shown in a text editor container.

For what you are looking for, there will probably not be a ready-made solution. Because as long as the prices are entered in continuous texts, you cannot simply enter and adjust them. You would have to develop something like that individually – specifically for your website. You would have to enter the prices somehow in special fields, maybe via TablePress as a table. Then such an individually created function would have the possibility to read and adjust the values.

If you need support for this, you might find someone here: https://jobs.wordpress.net
