    Hi,

    We are not receiving the price value ecommerce data after installing the Google Analytics integration.

    We are using Universal Analytics and have the enhanced ecommerce feature turned on.

    (no) Use Global Site Tag
    (yes) Enable Universal Analytics
    (yes) Enable Standard Tracking
    (yes) “Display Advertising” Support
    (yes) Use Enhanced Link Attribution
    (yes) Anonymize IP addresses
    (yes) Track 404 (Not found) Errors
    (yes) Purchase Transactions
    (yes) Add to Cart Events
    (yes) Enable Enhanced eCommerce
    (yes) Remove from Cart Events
    (yes) Product Impressions from Listing Pages
    (yes) Product Clicks from Listing Pages
    (yes) Product Detail Views
    (yes) Checkout Process Initiated

    Additionally we have checked with both the Tag Assistant chrome extension (in an incognito session) and with the google analytics debugger plugin for chrome, again in an incognito session. In neither case were we logged in as admins.

    According to both plugins:
    Page view event is recorded as expected.
    Add to cart event is recorded as expected.
    In the thank you page with the google analytics debugger we can see that the addProduct event has recorded the product price, and the purchase event has recorded the total cart value with shipping and other costs. However in the Tag Manager Assistant we can see the No HTTP response detected error, which according to Google’s documentation suggests to “Reinstall the Google Analytics snippet by removing the current iteration, copy a new version from the Analytics interface, and insert that version into the site.”

    Our only problem with this is we have already uninstalled and re-installed the integration a half a dozen times to no avail.

    What is it that we have been missing?

    Looking at your SSR, my recommendation would be that you try disabling this plugin: Google Tag Manager for WordPress: by Thomas Geiger – 1.13.1.

    Once it is disabled, could you please recheck? This is just to ensure that it is not conflicting with WooCommerce Google Analytics.

    If disabling it does not help, could you please confirm if everything is setup as explained here.

    I followed your advice and disabled Google Tag Manager by Thomas Geiger, although I’ve never had a conflict with these two before on other installations. It did not make any difference.

    Before moving forward to the next suggestion, I placed a test order from an incognito session, which was made available to Analytics like all previous ones, without any revenue data.

    I then followed the guide you shared, and noticed that everything was set according to the provided instructions. Going to the Woocommerce > Integrations > Google Analytics page, I noticed that the domain name was not set, so I included that also. Then the only option which was not enabled was the one for the gtag.js. I enabled that also, saved, and opened a new incognito session, to test things out. No data whatsoever was recorded for that completed order by Google Analytics inside Conversions > Goals > Overview.

    Then I decided to take a step back, and disabled the gtag.js checkbox, saved a second time, and opened yet another incognito session, and placed a third order. No order data was recorded by Google Analytics inside Conversions > Goals > Overview either.

    Google Analytics Debugger collected the data for all three of those orders. Also the Google Analytics View settings are as described in the guide you shared.

    Lastly, I decided to revert to the Woocommerce > Integration > Google Analytics settings that I had in place prior to commencing today’s troubleshooting, so I place yet another order after setting everything back to what it was. No data was recorded by Google Analytics once again.

    I reckon this lack of data inside GA is time related. So I will allow it perhaps a day, to see if anything finds its way inside the Google Analytics view, and I’ll keep you posted. Except if you have any other suggestions to share in the meantime.

    I am touching base to let you know we have tried almost every combination we could possibly think of in the settings page, and in Google Analytics, but we have not been able to see any revenue data inside of our goals page. On the other hand, in the revenue section of the Analytics, the revenue is tracked as expected.

    Among our setup variations we have also attempted creating new goals inside Analytics, all of which have behaved similarly, i.e. have been validated as true (count increased), but still no value data.

    We are running out of ideas here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Please let me know if you have any more suggestions.

    we have not been able to see any revenue data inside of our goals page. On the other hand, in the revenue section of the Analytics, the revenue is tracked as expected.

    If I understand correctly, Google Analytics is actually collecting the transaction data and you can see the revenues under the main Conversions > Ecommerce section but there is no revenue data under Conversions > Goals area, right?

    In my understanding, if transactional data is correctly sent to Google Analytics, it should appear on all places where you want it in Google Analytics.

    I’ll recommend making sure that there is no ad-blocker or custom extension in your test browser. Also, do you see any JavaScript errors on that page? You can check for JavaScript errors with your browser of choice by following the steps outlined here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis

    To rule out any possible conflict, you can use disable all plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration. Then create order and check if that helps. Make sure to give it some time as tracking can take up to 24 hours to show up.

    Let us know how it goes with the conflict test.

    Hi,

    Apologies for my late reply. I tested this thoroughly while in incognito (no ad blocker on anything like that running), and no JS errors were present in the browser console.

    I started from visiting the site on the home page, selecting a product, adding it to the cart, viewing the cart, commencing checkout, filling in my details, and eventually placing the order. No errors were logged whatsoever. Still no data were sent to the Goals.

    I even checked that the set up goals have been recorded successfully from Admin > View > Goals inside Analytics. And I’ve set a half a dozen of similar goals, each with different configuration, to build a net that would increase my chances of catching a potential error in the setup. None of that has worked.

    I created a staging env and deactivated all plugins also, which did not make any difference whatsoever.

    Where should I look next?

    I’ve experimented A LOT with the various options in setting up the goals, including settings that have worked before and/or afterwards in different shops, all running on WooCommerce. Even the themes, plugins, and server settings are the same or very-very similar. I’m mentioning that even though I don’t see how most of it could affect how data flows to GA with respect to goals.

    Hey @skredlemon,

    Setting up, tracking and diagnosing custom goals using Google Analytics is out with what we could offer support for with regards to the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration itself.

    That said I do have a custom goal for the checkout page configured on my own test Google Analytics account and the data is being passed to that when an order is processed by a customer. The plugin version installed on my test installation is v1.5.4.

    From what you’ve described is seems like something on the particular website you’re configuring is potentially preventing the data from being passed to Google. I’d suggest investigating that possibility first of all as a starting point to diagnose this behaviour.
