Price field Missing

I sent a reply to your email. Did you not get it? Maybe check your spam folders. Anyway, here’s what I had to say. In your email it sounded like maybe you had Menus and Menu Items mixed up.

The price appears when editing Menu Items. The basic workflow for creating a menu should go like this:

1. Go to Menu Items > Add New.

2. Add a Menu Item, which is a dish like “Hamburger”. On the right, assign it to a Menu Section, like “Main Dish”. And give it a price.

3. Now go to Menus > Add New.

4. Create a title for your menu, like “Dinner”. Then scroll down until you find the Menu Layout section. Click on the Menu Section, like “Main Dish”, to add it to your menu.

5. Then save your menu and view it to see if the section and the item have been added to the menu.

You will also find a help documentation with more instructions by going to the Plugins list in your WordPress admin panel. Find the Food and Drink Menu plugin in the list, move your mouse over it, and you’ll see a “Help” link appear. Click that for a full guide.

I’m not able to view that screenshot because it sits in your cPanel, which requires authentication. DO NOT POST YOUR LOGIN DETAILS HERE. But you can try uploading it to something like imgur.com.

I’d recommend the following steps to try and trouble-shoot this:

1. Deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme like TwentyFifteen. Check if you still have the problem.

2. When editing a Menu Item, check out the Screen Options panel and make sure that all the options are turned on.

3. Make sure you’re using the latest version of Food and Drink Menu. Go to the Plugins list and find Food and Drink Menu. The version should be 1.4.2.

4. If you’ve tried all of those things and still aren’t able to get it working, create an admin account on your site and send the login details to “theme of the crop AT gmail DOT com” (no spaces and replace AT/DOT).
