Hi,
Thanks for your message. We understand your request, but hourly rates do not support minutes, and the calculation of the rental period is always made in hours. However, it is possible to control the calculation of the rental cost through various settings.
By default, the system applies a half-up rounding, and so one hour and 30 minutes will be considered as 2 hours of rent. The same thing goes for daily rentals, where a duration of 1 day, 1 hour and 30 minutes would be rounded to 1 day and 2 hours.
On top of that, you can configure the number of gratuity period expressed in hours in the configuration settings. By setting for example 2 hours of gratuity period, in the above example, a rental for 1 day and 2 hours would be charged as 1 day of rent. Otherwise, with no gratuity period set, the system would try to apply the cost for 1 day of rent, plus 2 extra hours, if defined – alternatively, a cost for 2 days of rent would be applied.
For rentals shorter than 1 day of rent, the system only refers to the hourly rates defined in the page Fares Table, and the standard rounding method is applied. This means that 15 extra minutes cannot be charged due to the half-up rounding method.
You can find more details about the pricing framework in the official documentation on our website. Unfortunately, there are no useful configuration settings that would let you change the default calculation system, but you can use the various settings to configure it according to your needs.
