Settings are prices are entered including tax.

    So consider:

A £100 product to sell for £100 in the UK (including 20% tax)

And the same product to sell for £100 in the US (with 0% tax)

But woocommerce is reducing the price to US customers to £80.

Why is the US getting a 20% reduction when we set the prices including tax, and the US is 0% so the price should be £100 as the tax is 0%

Or is it taking off the UK tax rate, from the price of US orders? (as the store is UK based)

    Is this the expected behaviour?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi @curiousrob

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the price of your products are being reduced when the shipping zone is from the US.

I replicated your Tax settings on my test site, however, I was not able to replicate the issue.

    Standard Tax Rates:

    Products Admin page:

Here’s my Cart page for US:

Here’s my Cart page for UK:

As you can see, prices vary according to the Country code defined under the Standard Tax Settings.

I’d like to understand your site properly, can you please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    Hi xue28,

    Thanks for looking into this.

Your settings are different to mine, in the Tax Settings:

    Tax options
Prices entered with tax – Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax.

So if a product is entered as £100 it should sell for £100 no matter the tax rate of a country. As the tax part should be automatically calculated off the set product price.
(not reduce the price entered in the product page)

The Tax rate should not affect the selling price we have set, as per the settings (Prices entered with tax – Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax.)

    See what I mean?

I just set up a fresh install, with no other plugins and this behaviour still exists.

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for explaining what is happening.

For better assistance please share a copy of your site’s System Status: You can find it by navigating to WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Then please include the report in your response. Thanks.
