Primary category ignored

    Hi team,
    Please advice regarding Google shopping feed.

    g:product_type is mapped to category path

    I have products which are assigned to several categories. 1 of them is marked as primary. However when feed is generated it looks like the “primary” category is ignored and g:product_type path is set to one of the other categories this product is participating in.

    Example:
    This product: https://www.lekkerhoning.nl/product/uiercreme-met-royal-jelly/

    Is part of Verzorging > Royal Jelly
    and
    Verzorging > Huidverzorging

    Huidverzorging is set as primary. However in the feed:
    <g:product_type>Home > Verzorging > Royal Jelly</g:product_type>

    Ik ga er maar even vanuit dat ik in het Nederlands kan antwoorden ??

    Dat is correct, voor het category path pakt de plugin inderdaad nog niet de primary Yoast category. Dat issue staat al wel een tijdje op de to-do lijst van onze developers dus in een toekomstige release zal dit opgepakt worden, ik kan helaas nog niet aangeven wanneer dat precies is.

    Ik neem aan dat er geen makkelijke workaround is? ??

    In principe niet erg, ik heb in adwords deze producten op een andere manier aan de compagne toegevoegd.

    Wanneer je echt het hele category path nodig hebt is er inderdaad, helaas, geen workaround. Je wel de primary category (zonder het path) gebruiken door onderstaande field mapping te gebruiken al weet ik niet of je daar wat aan hebt voor je campagnes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f904q7bgbxiljif/primary_category.png?dl=0
