Primary menu at top of page includes “Home” link though I did not add it to the menu definition in Appearance/Menus. That’s ok, I like having the link. But the link is wrong: it adds “/wordpress” to the site URL and, of course, that goes nowhere. How can I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @compata,
Thanks for your question. I’d still recommend going to Appearance > Customize and click on the pencil icon to edit the Primary menu navigation to check if there is that weird Home page item and try to re-add it.
If you migrated the site recently you may also try to navigate to Settings > Permalinks and save changes to refresh the permalinks of your site.

Thanks for the suggestion. No pencil on Appearance > Customize. Going to Appearance > Customize > Menus, I see Primary without a “Home” link and, again, no pencil. But I also see Top with the notation, “(Currently set to Primary)”. To me that seemed to say that clicking Top would not be beneficial as it would be the same as clicking Primary. I was surprised to find that it isn’t the same. In fact, it included the bogus “Home” link with an opportunity to fix it! (Still no pencil.) The problem is fixed.

    Hi @compata,
Thanks for your reply. Let me know if you have any further questions.
