• Hey guys,

I noticed how the Call to action button per default had the #primary url which scrolls the browser downwards to the front page post. I am trying to create a menu in the top right with a few menu options and I would like them to function like the #primary url does.

Is there any way to add your own tags in this sense which have same functionality?

    Thanks!

  • From Appearance > Menus > use “Custom Links”. In the URL field, enter element ID name preceded with a # symbol.

To find the element’s ID name, you can use the browser’s inspector. Please see this screencast https://cloudup.com/cIEIH89MsUT

    Thanks Kharis,

I solved it with the Scroll to ID plugin. But it seems to be the same principle concept.

    Hello there,

I thought you don’t need to install any plugin because the Sydney’s main JS script is able to do so. If you uninstall that plugin, your site might load a bit faster.

    Good point.
I’ll try your solution as well and see which one I prefer in the end. With this plugin I add “anchor” points in the page that I can stroll to. Should be able to do similar with your suggested solution.

Your suggested solution works well. A bit more tech savy but won’t be changing or updating those links often so no problem. I no longer have to use the Scroll To ID plugin.

    Thanks.
