    Hi everybody,

I’m working on a Tesseract Child Theme and I notice an ugly blank space (called primary sidebar?) in the left space of my website, and also on its bottom, just above the footer.

Building with BeaverBuilder, selecting ‘full width’ for images is useless, everything is displayed with the blank space on the left side of my website…

What am I doing wrong ?

    Thank you.

  • @sasha36, having the link to the site itself would probably be useful in this case (as that might make it easier for someone to actually see what’s causing the extra blank space).

But generally speaking, if there’s supposed to be a sidebar (or other widgetized area) in those sections of the site, and you simply haven’t added any widgets to it yet, then it makes a certain amount of sense to me that you only see blank space there right now instead.

    Hi girlieworks,

    Thank you for your help.

I’ve had a website years (ages lol) ago,
and did indeed put a link to my website when having difficulties,
    in a support forum…
Its url/name then was displayed worldwide,
showing how much of a newbie the website manager (me) was/still is lol.

It’s supposed to be a sidebar, on every page, according to WP.

But I simply don’t want widgets inside my website,
hence neither a sidebar is needed, nor a blank space instead.
    Just a full width page.

I’d gladly put a screen capture (with hidden website name)
but there seems to be no possibility to add an image in this forum…

    Ok :
I went into my WordPress dashboard,
clicked on ‘Pages’, clicked (so far) on ‘Home’ page,
then, on the right sidebar, under ‘Page Attributes’,
into the ‘Template’ scroll-down menu, surprise :
    Full Width Page!

    Select it and click ‘update’…Voila!

That was the most un-intuitive way to find it yet I did, finally,
after literary hours of research and trials!

    Still, the bottom blank space,
under the hero image and above the footer,
hasn’t been removed by this manipulation…

    OK :

Seems like I’m finally sorting things out…

For the bottom blank space, I just had to, in BeaverBuilder (plugin), set the image not only to full width, but also to full height.

Situation sorted out. Case closed. Thank you all.
