Primary taxonomy slug in URL

  • Currently we are developing a custom WordPress theme for a traveling agency. All tours are created within the custom post type “Tours”. There is also a custom taxonomy related to this custom post type for countries. A single tour can be linked to multiple countries (terms). For example: Amsterdam to Berlin is linked to the countries The Netherlands and Germany.

    Our permalink structure looks like this: site.tld/tours/country_term/post_slug (site.tld/tours/germany/amsterdam-to-berlin).

    In my example I’ve marked “The Netherlands” as the primary taxonomy term for this tour. Is it possible to display the primary taxonomy term slug within the URL? Right now this is not working and Germany is shown instead of The Netherlands.
