Thanks,that would work but I’m using the plugin that drops in the print friendly button via a shortcode in the template. Not just manually pasting in the button.

Any ideas on how I’d get it to auto add event tracking to each button?

I want to be able to track clicks on the print buttons via analytics as an event.

Yes. It should work with Yoasts GA plugin and if you tracked by yourself.
